Our Mission

Our organization, The Free Skate Foundation, is committed to providing access to skateboarding lessons and certified safety equipment for underserved communities throughout Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley. We offer weekly skate lessons led by a team of trained and certified mentors and volunteer coaches who are passionate about creating a safe and inclusive skateboarding community for all ages and genders.

We focus on making skateboarding accessible through structured recreational programs and well-maintained, safe training facilities. We believe that physical, mental, and social activities, such as skateboarding, help develop essential life skills such as discipline, determination, and compassion, which are critical to the well-being of young individuals as they navigate their growth and development.

Through our program, we will not only provide free skateboarding lessons, skate gear and safety equipment to people of all ages interested in skateboarding, but we will also take an active role in planning and developing new and existing skate facilities, including important amenities like restrooms and hydration stations.

We are a 501(c)3 Chariable Organization.
